Kristen Walker, a daughter of Newton and Jackson MS, performs music as Flowerchile. Her songwriting is inspired by women and their common experiences, the art of self preservation, and the many facets of love. Outside of music, her interests in The Arts include theatre and creative writing, and in the future, she aspires to be a documentarian. Kristen hopes to inspire young women in Mississippi to pursue their positive passions in life unapologetically, with grit, & tenacity, in an effort to honor themselves and maintain their vitality. In the future, in addition to her broad career goals, she hopes to build a family that will one day, in their own way, successfully continue to build her family's legacy.
